DramaTube ("we", "us", "our") operates the website at dramatube.app and the related waitlist for our upcoming vertical drama streaming app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site or join the waitlist, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following information:
- Email address — provided by you when you sign up for the waitlist.
- Referral data — if you arrive via a referral link or share your own, we record the associated referral code and signup position so we can credit rewards.
- Usage and device data — basic analytics such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser type, device, referring URL, and interactions with the site (for example, clicking the "Claim my spot" button).
- Experiment assignment — we assign visitors to A/B test variants using a randomly generated visitor ID stored in your browser to help us improve the site.
- Cookies and similar technologies — used by us and our analytics partners (see Section 5).
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Add you to the waitlist and reserve your Founding Fan number and coin rewards.
- Send you transactional emails about your signup, referrals, and launch updates.
- Operate, secure, and improve the site, including A/B testing of layouts and copy.
- Measure the effectiveness of our marketing, including ad campaigns.
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.
4. Legal basis (EEA / UK users)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases: your consent (for marketing emails and non-essential cookies), the performance of a contract (to provide waitlist features you sign up for), and our legitimate interests (to secure and improve our service and measure marketing performance).
5. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Ads and Google Analytics (via gtag.js) to measure conversions and understand how visitors use our site. These tools may set cookies and process limited personal data such as your IP address and a hashed version of your email when you sign up. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run DramaTube, including:
- Cloud hosting and database providers (to store waitlist signups).
- Email delivery providers (to send your welcome and update emails).
- Analytics and advertising platforms (Google Ads, Google Analytics).
- Authorities or other parties when required by law or to protect our rights and users.
7. Data retention
We keep waitlist data until DramaTube launches and for a reasonable period thereafter so we can deliver your Founding Fan benefits. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see Section 9).
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and a managed cloud database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and notify you of any material incidents as required by law.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@dramatube.app. You can also unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link at the bottom of any email we send you.
10. Children
DramaTube is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, if changes are material, notify you by email or via a notice on the site.
